Demographic group analyses were performed to illuminate disparities by the following demographic groups: education, income and race/ethnicity. Not all demographic groups were available for all data sources and measures. Individual estimates were suppressed if they did not meet the reliability criteria laid out by the data source or internally established criteria. Some values had wide 95% confidence intervals, meaning the true value may be far from the estimate listed. Where they are reported, definitions of measures and demographics may vary based on data sources.
Race and Ethnicity. Data were provided for nine racial and ethnic groups as available through the data sources utilized: American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Asian/Pacific Islander, Black, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic, multiracial, other race and white.
Educational Attainment. Data are provided for four levels of educational attainment as available through the data sources: less than high school graduation, high school graduation including GED (General Educational Development), post-high school education but not a 4-year degree (some college, associate’s degree, vocational or technical school certification) and college education with a 4-year degree or higher.
Household Income. Data are provided for four levels of household income as available through the data sources used: Less than $25,000, $25,000-$49,999, $50,000-$74,999 and $75,000 and more.
Poverty Level. Data are provided for five levels of the federal poverty level (FPL) as readily available through public data sources: Less than 100% of the FPL, 100-199% of the FPL, 200-299% of the FPL, 300-399% of the FPL, 400% of the FPL and over.
